Thanks Christine - glad you enjoyed the article! My voicemail message includes my name, studio name and instructions to leave name and phone number, nothing real special! Most parents seem willing to leave their information. In addition, I do get a lot of email inquiries that leave contact information, for which I will later schedule phone interviews.

Great article, especially at this time of the year! I loved your suggestion to screen phone calls so that you can be &quot;on your game&quot; when you talk with potential new students. I am curious what you say in your phone message to encourage parents to leave their contact information. I am also in the habit of screening my calls (mainly because I manage my school office from home with my 2 year old sidekick!), and I return phone calls in the evening.
