Thanks for sharing your story. I am so glad you and your husband had Aflac. Yes, I think it easy to put your head in the sand and think “not me”. But, as business owners and artists, I think there are ways we can protect ourselves. I hope to keep bringing this topic to light throughout the year.

So sorry to hear that you were ill. So glad to hear that you are cancer-free! Thanks for sharing your journey. You bring up such an important topic. It is absolutely critical that we, as small business owners, plan for these unforeseen and unfortunate events because they truly can happen to anyone. Just one year ago, my husband suffered a heart attack. Thankfully, he had insurance and an Aflac policy. The Aflac policy totally saved us. He had gotten it through a previous employer and we had to pay quite a bit to keep it but, it was absolutely worth every penny. Best wishes to you and it is great to see your blog posts again!
