Create Buzz With Biz Cards

Create Buzz With Biz Cards

Create Buzz with Biz CardsThe only money I spend on marketing my studio each year is for new business cards. For less than $50, I can spread the word about my services far and wide, and also allow others to easily do the same.

I have found business cards to be way more effective than print ads, online ads, fliers, and just about every other marketing method out there. I leave a stack of them in my studio’s waiting room so that parents can pick up a few and hand them out, and considering the fact that I have to replenish this supply often, it seems that they are doing all of my advertising for me!

I also take my business card holder with me everywhere I go, because you never know who you’ll run into. I’ve left stacks with local businesses who are willing to give them out, and even created a partnership with a local photographer who includes my cards with her family photography packages.

I design the cards myself using the free online editing program, PicMonkey, and then upload and order the design through VistaPrint. You can almost always find a coupon code for VistaPrint, which helps keep orders of 500+ cards under $50.

I have several businesses for which I create different cards. The card pictured above is for my music therapy podcast, and I also have cards for my performing acoustic duo. I’m getting ready to create a new one for my studio since we are moving to a new location soon and just rebranded our website. Business cards are a great way to keep people in the loop of changes to your studio.

How do you create buzz and keep that studio waiting list nice and long? Are business cards as crucial to your marketing plan as they are to mine?
