Piano Notes Fun App Review
I am a wee bit late in the game of updating my music lessons so that they feel as if we are actually in the 21st century and not the 20th. I only recently started using Apps in my lessons, and wow, I can’t believe I waited so long! I wanted to share with you my current fave, “Piano Notes Fun.” It’s only $1.99 and that is incredible considering I can use it with my newest AND oldest students.
Basically the screen is made up of a piano keyboard and one single staff above it. In the settings you can decide whether it’s a Treble or Bass Clef, and you can determine how many different pitches will be quizzed as well as which key signature you would like to use. The keyboard can be color coded if you wish, which is really great for the super young kids.
Yesterday I used it with every single student which ranged from a 4 year old girl to a 14 year old boy, to an adult mother of 2. I wanted to see if it could be accessible to everyone before reviewing it here. They all loved it and it appeared that everyone’s reading improved greatly by the end of the game!
I highly recommend adding this game to your teaching bag of tricks. Your students will love it.
